Aphex Twin To Release 13-Track EP At The End Of January

Over the years, Richard D. James, better known as Aphex Twin, has been known to hoard massive amounts of unreleased music from his fans. After recently returning from a 10-year hiatus, it looks like the producer still has more to show in the form of a brand new, 13-track EP.

Following the release of the Grammy-nominated Syro, a previously lost Caustic Window LP, and a pack of 30 unreleased demos, Aphex Twin will drop the intriguingly titled Computer Controlled Acoustic Instruments Pt. 2 at the end of January. We’re not entirely sure what happened to Pt. 1, but that’s Aphex for you.

While the release of Syro was preceded by a large-scale guerrilla marketing campaign, this time around it looks like James will be releasing his new EP in a more conventional fashion.

Check out the full tracklist below. Computer Controlled Acoustic Instruments Pt. 2 is out Jan. 23 on Warp. Pre-orders for vinyl, CD, and digital downloads can be made here.
