The official anthem for Red Rocks Ampitheatre’s Global Dance Festival was released this week, appropriately named Mile High. [Insert dirty joke here]. The song, the first single by the mysterious duo AllNight, features the talented vocals of Laura Brehm and is part of a free 3-track Mile High collection available now.
The original is categorized as “Red Rocks Electro” and touches upon everything I like about the main stage: beautiful piano work, great vocals, and an extended build towards a hand-in-the-air climax. Alongside the original comes two remixes from producers native to Colorado, Paris Burns and the always-impressive James Egbert. Egbert’s remix marks a reunion of sorts between the producer and vocalist Brehm, who previously appeared on Light Up The Stars off Egbert’s first full-length LP. His brand of complex and layered electro is instantly recognizable and truly separates him from a host of wannabes, and it’s no different here. Brotherly duo Paris Burns also supplies a solid electro remix to finish off the collection. Grab the three tracks for free right down below. Also make sure to check out the official highlights of Global Dance Festival’s second day in the video at the bottom of the page.
We see the setting Sun drifting behind the mountaintops
We’ve only just begun, and we’re going harder when the bass drops
We are a mile high every night
