Not every artist gets to publish their first releases on a big record label, but LessThan3’s Kid Alien has done just that with not just his first but rather his first three–all released on Armin van Buuren’s powerhouse label, Armada. Not just a producer, he’s also one of the few artists out there that can also sing on their own tracks. His most recent release, All my Sorrows (Rain On Me), is the massive banger resulting from his second collaboration with Klauss Goulart. It’s an uplifting vocal house tune that’s sure to awaken any dancefloor with Kid Alien’s powerful voice exploding into the furious bassline. It’s freshly out now on Armada’s big room house imprint, Zouk, and also available for purchase on Beatport.
Last fall, Kid Alien impressed the likes of Armin van Buuren so much that he featured the Klauss Goulart and Mark Sixma Deep Universe remix of The Atmosphere on his esteemed Universal Religion 5 compilation. Personally, it’s my favorite vocal trance tune of 2011, showcasing some of the most sincere and touching lyrics of any track this year. The newly released and driving VIP Mix of The Atmosphere switches things up a bit, hitting 140bpm and delving into the realm of trancestep. Kid Alien invited LessThan3’s dubstep artist, Starchild, to work his magic and he really made the climax supremely epic with half-time breakbeats and monstrous bass.
