Don’t quote us on this, but chances are that Alesia’s newest single, H.T, stands for “hard techno.” Or maybe “hazardous tempest.” Either way, we can’t get enough of the duo’s ferocious new jam.
H.T opens with a dark and ominous extended intro, filling listeners with suspense before the pounding sounds of industrial, techy electro turn the soundscape into a warped, futuristic version of the French Revolution. The bass is sadistically vicious, the vocals are nostalgic, and the vibe is manifestly underground. Gesaffelstein may still hold the crown as Paris’ reigning tech-electro monarch, but at this point, these guys are neck and neck.
For the uninitiated, Alesia’s two members also make up one-half of the French quartet Point Point. You can grab H.T, as well as a slew of other banging new tracks, when Point Point releases the new mixtape, Filet Mignon Vol. 2, free of charge on July 31.
