Afrojack’s followup year as a breakout house artist has yielded many great releases. Like Chuckie and Sidney Samson, the Dirty Dutch sensation has, in some ways, remained loyal to the sound that skyrocketed Afrojack into international fame. At the same time, he keeps evolving and maturing with every new track with even greater success than his fellow compatriots.
A few months ago, Afrojack’s collaboration with Shermanology, Grindin, made a stir on Pete Tong’s BBC1 Radio. Shermanology (picture above) is a Dutch vocal/production team that received attention after Avicii’s amazing use of their vocals in Blessed. While Grindin has got Dutch house written all over it, it takes the genre in interesting directions. Take a close listen and you’ll hear a million awesome sounds working together in perfect synchronicity. Add to that a few mind-numbing buildups, and you’ve got yourself a slick new house track to drop at parties. Turn it up!
