Production software giant Ableton has announced details for Loop, a three-day summit for music producers set to take place in Berlin Oct. 30 to Nov. 1.
Loop is the latest innovation from the DAW company, who has long supported the creative ambitions of budding music producers, with previous ventures including their Making Music book that was released in March. Loop is set to expand on the concept of looking into the concept of creativity, with keynote speakers such as James Holden set to focus on the current state of music production and what the future may hold for producers. Talks and workshops on offer include “Flow: On immersion and focus in music-making,” “Creative blocks and strategies for overcoming them,” and “Again & Again & Again: Loops and repetition in electronic dance music,” among plenty of others, giving you plenty to sink your teeth into over the course of the event.
Tickets for the summit–which also offers entry into a variety of “extracurricular” nighttime events where delegates have a chance to let their hair down–will be allocated via a lottery system due to limited capacity, so head on over the Loop website to register. Tickets will be priced at €250, or just €100 if you’re a musician between the ages of 18 and 25.
