Katy Perry has had one hell of a year in music. With a successful solo career and artists lining up around the block to remix her tracks, the future looks like it’ll be quite the ride. Katy Perry is undeniably sexy, and that appeal plays perfectly in the dance scene. First Armand van Helden redid California Girls, then Alex Gaudino recently remixed Firework, and E.T. just got a rework from none other than Benny Benassi and Tiësto.
Benassi and Tiësto’s tracks are both reflections of their personal sound. In other words, the Benassi remix is a “Benassi” track, and likewise for Tiesto. Benassi’s mix is an in-your-face beat popper while Tiësto’s carries the big-stage synths that give you that epic ballad feel that you’ve come to know and love from him. As always, Katy’s already-sweet voice is enhanced by some killer effects, making E.T. a track I’m sure we’ll hear in the clubs for a while.
